UNDP-GEF -The Small Grants Program

UNDP-GEF -The Small Grants Program, a Global Environment Facility corporate program on behalf of the three GEF implementing agencies - UNEP, UNDP and the World Bank - and executed by the United Nations Office for Project Services.  The SGP was established to achieve global environmental benefits at the community level. The overall goal is to achieve environmental sustainability, alleviate poverty and build capacity at the community level.

MIDC supported, in memorial, the Million Hour Tree Planting in Dominica, West Indies. The project is a new approach towards environmental preservation in Dominica to enhance the environment through the creation of green spaces with planting of trees and scrubs to prevent soil erosion and beautify the landscape around the Island.
