Cuba Exchanges with Foreign Companies on Renewable Energy

Cuban and foreign companies exchange n the first event on Renewable Energy about business opportunities and the search for sustainable and efficient solutions to achieve the transformation of the Cuban energy structure.

The event on Renewable Energy will run until today at the Pabexpo exhibition center.

Francesco Pagano, general director of the Isla Verde Project, told the Prensa Latina news agency, that this initiative is made up of Italian companies that work in this field.

Pagano considered that Cuba has high potential in renewable energy because it has sun, wind, forest biomass, and also needs to solve some problems in the treatment of waste to eliminate the pollution it causes to the environment.

Cuba seeks to find a professional platform for the exchange of experiences, business opportunities and national and foreign exhibitions during the first event on Renewable Energy.

Organized by Fira Barcelona, the Palco Business Group and supported by the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the event is in accordance with the country's willingness to change its energy structure, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and raise environmental sustainability. Belgium, China, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands and Saint Kitts and Nevis are among the countries participating in the event.
